About Jini
Jini is short for Sarojini which means lotus as depicted by the flower in our symbol. Jini was fortunate to be born and brought up on the islands of Fiji. Living in a diverse community and cultures I grew up learning the traditions of Fijian Indian food prepared daily in the household.
Religious festivals, gatherings, weddings and parties, just name it, any feast you talk about, it begins with food! What would be the menu? What's cooking? And the whole families, neighbors, and friends would get together to prepare. Jini learnt at a very young age to cook helping her mum and sisters and dad, who also was a great cook! Coming to Maui and settling here was an emotional challenge for Jini, to leave my beloved country Fiji and it's way of life. Maui is pretty much like Fiji, though a little more developed and culturally vast.
Jini has a dream...a dream to share and live! Jini inspires to reach each one of you to try the simple, fresh, and healthy Fijian Indian Food prepared with much Aloha! Join us, support her, on a journey to greater heights!
